マタヌスカ氷河は、アラスカで最大かつ最も壮大な氷河で、車でアクセスできます。氷河の表面から約 1/2 マイル以内にドライブし、そこからハイキングを開始します。氷河の上を 1 時間半から 2 時間ハイキングし、約 2 マイル歩きます。標高の変化はほとんどなく、ハイキングの難易度は中程度です。 氷河は、アンカレッジから車で 2 時間強の場所にあります。トイレ休憩のために途中で立ち止まり、コーヒーや軽食を購入する機会もあります。ランチにはサンドイッチとボトル入りの水が提供され、氷河を離れた後に食べます。ランチを購入する前に、食物アレルギーや好みをお知らせください。
2 hr - 氷河への 2 時間のドライブに沿って、クマ、ヘラジカ、フクロウ、ワシ、キツネ、ヤマアラシをすべて見ることができます。また、途中で美しいパノラマ写真を撮ることもできます。
チカルーンのアラスカ先住民は、アトナとデナイナ・アサバスカンの混血です。ここは小さな町で、お店や教会、家々がいくつかあります。

Booked this trip to celebrate a retirement with co-workers. Ryan was a great host He arrived on time to pick-up our group at the hotel, was very clear on what to expect during the 8 hour trip, and our group enjoyed the conversation with him to make the 2 hour drive to Matanuska more interesting. The glacier experience it self was amazing. Highly recommended and worth the price of admission if you can make the time commitment work when you are in Anchorage.

The walk on the Matanuska glacier was great. The view cannot be described in words. Ryan from Tentcity is an excellent tour guide and very helpful. He takes only small groups. The tour guide on the glacier was Chris and he too was excellent, helpful and knowledgeable.
Ryan (the driver) and Chris (tour guide) are amazing and knowledgeable. The walk to the glacier is about half a mile so you should wear proper shoes and be ready to get them silted (silt is a sort of ice mud). It’s my first time on the glacier and i found the whole experience with my family a special one. The views are fantastic! Got to drink also the water melting from the glacier. I highly recommend this tour!
It it fun actuvity to do in Anchorage and I highly recommend this tour. Ryan was easy to communicate and really nice.
