Matanuska Glacier
Your day will start with a magnificent scenic drive along the Glenn Highway with stunning mountain vistas and plenty of time for photo stops. Next we will drive to the toe of the glacier to dawn our ice cleats and begin exploring the glacier by foot. Each day is unique due to the dynamic nature of the glacier. We generally spend two hours and walk three miles on the ice. After exploring the glacier we will have lunch at a local eatery with stunning views of the glacier and surrounding scenery. Each tour will be customized to suit your groups interest. This is a once in a lifetime bucket list opportunity to explore glacial ice!

My boyfriend and I did the Matanuska Glacier tour. Matt and Sean were excellent guides. Fantastic communication on pick up and drop off. Great information and safety tips along the way. The glacier itself was breathtaking of course. Unbelievable how ever changing the landscapes really are. Lunch was delicious and the view was freakin wild! We had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it! Thank you so much!

The experience of walking on a glacier is magnificent. Do not miss a chance to walk on a glacier. Our tour guides were knowledgeable and helpful when I had difficulty walking on a narrow spot. You will be glad that you made the choice to have the experience of a lifetime.

One of the best parts of coming to alaska during the winter. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience and you can’t experience it anywhere else! Our tour guides, Bill & Sean, were super attentive and great guides for this tour. Definitely worth the price.
